Best photo spots in San Francisco

San Francisco is one America's most photographed cities. Built on a hill, there are so many vantage points to get a great shot that it's hard to keep track of them all. So we've made a list for you.

No trip to San Franciso would be complete without a great shot of the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge. Walking across it is an experience not to be missed but it can sometimes be difficult to get the full scale of the bridge when you're on it. Try Baker's Bridge or Vista Point to get the full bridge plus some of the city in view.

Back in the city proper, don't miss a chance to walk around the financial district for some great architectural shots. Keep going and you'll get to China Town, where the hectic atmosphere and bright colours will be sure to attract your lens.

Mission Dolores Park on a weekend - with beautiful lush greens full of people and the Financial District set behind it.

Down by the waterfront, there are a few piers to choose from to set up your camera and get a few photos of the bay or Alcatraz Island.

Each neighbourhood in the city has its own character and is worth a look for the colours and characters. Mission District is full of a riot of colours and Haigh-Ashbury has an interesting person for a portrait around every corner.
